thought they were poor. 1

Noreen Natalie Bourne attended Sacred Heart Convent in New Town. She was
After Enuis Sybil Bourne re-married Ralph Dyer the children were not wanted
and so Noreen came to Melbourne
and worked at the Fitzgerald’s Shop as a window dresser before changing
to armature winding during the war. During the war she met Ronald Kelly in Melbourne again and was married in 1942. After the children
went to secondary school, she became a supervising machinist at a clothing
factory in Bell St Preston. A few years later she worked for home help with
the Preston City Council.
Noreen and Ron moved to 10 Happy Valley Ave Blairgowrie and after Ron's death Noreen stayed
there until the house maintenance became too much for her and she entered the
Lotus Lodge Nursing Hostel in Rosebud and then went to Tea Tree Gardens
Nursing Home where she died with her son and his wife present.
