John Micheal Wilcox died at the Hunters Creek Nursing Home at age 86. He leaves two sisters and several nephews.
Mr Wilcox served in the Polish Armyin France from 1934-1935 and again in 1939 to 1948. Arriving in Britain in 1940 he fought with the commando 10th Unit wherre he was wounded. He came to Boston in 1948 and was employed as a watch and clock repairer until 1958 when he went into partnership with Sydney Carter trading as wilcox and Carter. He retired in 1980.
He married Gwen in 1950 and was granted citisenship the same year. Two of his nephews from Poland attended his funeral together with a contingent of the Commando Association.
