Births of John and Martha's children - as listed in the Family Bible - per Mrs. P. G. Lowe, England. According to Mrs. Lowe - John Burgis apparently agreed to pay off the gambling debts of his sons Hebgin and Sewell, on the understanding that they emigrate to Australia.

My Great grandmother Ellen Louisa BURGIS lived with her daughter Margery Ellen Louisa WALKER 's family as an old lady and told my mother of her two brothers who had been sent to Australia in disgrace, but no more detail. Information from Catherine Steeden

Sewell was the maiden name of Martha's mother.
