Birth Registration No 20658, 1879 Ballarat
Rebecca went to Wycheproof to live with her elder sister Emma(Emily) and Jack McIntyre when she was 9 years old and went to school at Wycheproof.

Her family was told her parents were Thomas Wood and Elizabeth (Lloyd) instead of Father unknown and mother Elizabeth Wood.

Wedding Bells A very pretty wedding took place at Wycheproof Presbyterian Church on Wednesday when Miss Rebecca M Wood, sister of Mrs J.H. McIntyre was married to Mr. Geo McDonald storekeeper, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. J. Kirkwood. The bride, who looked exceedingly pretty, wore a handsome wedding dress of white silk, trimmed with white satin ruching, and ribbon and pearls, with the orthodox veil and coronet and was attended by the Misses Mary Martin Ethyl Reed and Flora Ferguson as bridesmaids, all of whom were prettily gowned in white. Master Alex Martin and Bella McDonald being train bearers. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the wedding party drove to the residence of Mr, J McIntyre, where the wedding breakfast took place, the health of the bride and bridegroom being proposed in felicitous terms by the Rev. Kirkwood.

Mr and Mrs McDonald were at a later hour driven to the railway station, where amid showers of rice and the best wishes of a large number of friends who had assembled on the platform, the happy couple left for Melbourne on their honeymoon trip. The bride wore a neat traveling dress of dove coloured poplin with toque to match. The wedding presents were useful and numerous.

We cordially wish Mr and Mrs McDonald every joy and happiness in their domestic career.
No date on press cutting but approx Sept 1900.

Flora had a son named Donald. Flora and Thelma moved to Tasmania to live near Donald and Rebecca also went to live in Tasmania which is where she died in 1975 at age 96.
