Flora had a son named Donald. Flora and Thelma moved to Tasmania to live near Donald and Rebecca also went to live in Tasmania which is where she died in 1975 at age 96.

Her first husband Scotty Hansford was an alcoholic and they separated and Flora went to Tassie with her only son and re-married Jim Leighton. Donald had 3 children. Lauris Leighton lives in Bridport, Tas.
