Following detail is from 'Scotland 1733 to Scottsdale 27 Jan 1985 - McKerrow and MacLennan' family history booklet printed for a family re-union held at North Scotsdale - Sunday 27 Jan 1985.

Kenneth MacLennan born 14 Feb (or 5 Mar) 1816, Ross shire, who died 4 Dec 1873 at Scottsdale, Tasmania.

Married 31 Dec 1839, at Achterneed, Scotland

Isabella Munro born 5 Feb 1819, Fodderty, Ross shire who died 25 Nov 1888 at Scottsdale, Tasmania.

McLennan or MacLennan??

It is said that in the area of Fodderty, Achterneed, and Dingwall there were many MacLennans, so Kenneth dropped the "a" from the spelling of his name purely for business reasons, as so many other K. MacLennans were getting his mail and he was
also getting theirs - when he arrived in Australia he continued to use "McL".

Kenneth was a tailor by trade.

Kenneth and Isabella left from the port of Liverpool, embarking on the "Australia" on 22 Aug 1853, and landed in Melbourne 18 Nov. 1853.

Their time in Victoria was spent in the Portland area, and at Forest Creek, near Castlemaine, where they were living when their daughter Isabella married John McKerrow on 16 Jul 1859.

They came to Tasmania in 1865, where they lived with John and Isabelle McKerrow for a year before establishing their own holding.

Kenneth married Isabella MUNRO on 31 Dec 1839 in Achterneed, Ross And Cromarty, Scotland. (Isabella MUNRO was born on 5 Feb 1819 in Fodderty, Ross Shire, Scotland and died on 25 Nov 1888 in Scottsdale, Tasmania.)
