Peggy married Alan Trifett an officer but was later divorced and re-married Micheal Lyons. They had no children and towards the end Peggy suffered from chronic cancer.

Died: 8 December 1965 at age 42 and was buried in Cornelian Bay Cemetery record ID 52013 on 10 Dec 1965 in the Methodist Section D No. 478 with her husband Micheal Joseph Lyons. Her last address was Midway Point, Sorell, Tas 7172
