In the 1841 census, there is a George Goulding in Washingborough Lincolnshire aged 20 (up to +5) ie born 1816-21 with an occupation as an Agricultural Labourer. However our George should be probably married. There are also several George Gouldings in Saxilby Lincolnshire but none with the correct age.
In the 1851 census, George was living at his father-in-law's home (John Greenwood) with his wife and family. John Greenwood was the Head of the house in Blyton, Lincolnshire and his daughter Ann Goulding and husband George and son John Goulding aged 7 and born 1843-4 in Glentworth, Lincolnshire. As there is only one record of John, born in Glentworth and of the correct age , I concluded that this is our ancestor living with his parents and grandfather. It also gives us his mother's maiden name.
In the 1861 census, George was 46 giving his birth date about 1815. He was living at 90 High St Blyton Lincolnshire with his wife Anne (note the different spelling) and his children Caroline 11, Anne 5, David 7, Levey(Lucy?) Ann 13 and Mary Anne 2. George was an Agricultural Labourer and gave his birth place as Saxilby.
In the 1871 census, George and Ann are living alone and he is recorded as being a shephard.
In 1878, Jan-Mar, there is a report in the BMD records of a George Goulding dying at age 62 in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and this could be our George.(born abt 1816) Volume 7a Page 448. Buried St Martin's Church. Blyton on 31st March 1878 aged 62.
George married Ann GREENWOOD, daughter of John GREENWOOD and Jane UNKNOWN, on 8 Jun 1840 in St Martin's Church, Blyton, Lincolnshire, Eng. (Ann GREENWOOD was born in 1814 in Blyton, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Eng, christened on 20 Jun 1814 in Blyton, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Eng and died in Mar 1889 in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Eng.)
